    Þingvellir: The Parliament in the Lava

You'll be driving mostly on Route 36 (towards Thingvellir), Route 35 (Geysir/Gullfoss), and Route 35/1 back to Reykjavík. While the driving is easy, the scenery is dramatic—expect tectonic rifts, erupting geysers, and thundering waterfalls. In winter, these roads are plowed first, but always check road.is for ice warnings.
