This 3,000-year-old crater was once difficult to climb, destroying the fragile moss. Now, a rusted-iron staircase winds up the side, blending with the red volcanic rock (scoria) and offering arguably the best panoramic views of the Neshraun lava fields and Snæfellsjökull glacier.
